I’m trying to be more environmentally friendly these days. I bought a hybrid car, switched out all my lightbulbs with CFL’s, use green household cleaning products, etc. So, in my quest in being more green I came across some websites that will help. The first website is www.greenerprinter.com. The second website is more for my business and it’s www.greenerphotography.com. I’m just trying to do my small part and hopeuflly it’ll pay off.

I recently became aware of the Wedding Photographic Society. Instead of me trying to explain them here’s the excerpt from their website:
We’re a network of professional photographers who come together to collaborate on photographic ideas, thoughts, and information in an attempts to elevate the artistic, technical, and business standards of the wedding photographic community. Membership in the WPS offers many professional & personal growth opportunities via bi-monthly educational meetings, networking, critiques, and general camaraderie during such gatherings. WPS meetings, forums, blog submissions, & web pages are open to any and all professional wedding photographers throughout the world.
The WPS’s origins date back to 2005, when North Carolina photographer Christobal Perez organized quarterly photography meetings in an effort to help build relationships, share knowledge amongst peers, and help create a competitive, yet supportive photographic community. The spirit of Christobal’s movement has grown exponentially since that time and has since evolved into the WPS(which became official in 2009) with the further support of other local photographers, Shane Snider, Robin Lin, Martha Manning, Stacy Borelli, & Brian Mullins. Leaders & members of the WPS donate their time to organize topic discussions with guest speakers, collaborate on ideas and offer guidance, all without compensation.
It’s very exciting to see this open network of photographers come to existence. I am looking forward to sharing ideas with other photographers and especially being able to meet the owners since they are local to Raleigh, NC. I knew there were be some perks of moving down here.

Tony is one of my oldest friends. I’ve known him since high school and it was a treat to be at his wedding. Now, Tony didn’t want me to be “working” at his wedding so he went out and hired a photographer but that didn’t mean I couldn’t take pictures as a guest.
They had their ceremony at the Holy Trinity Catholic Church which was followed by the reception at Sequoia restaurant. It was a very beautiful ceremony and the reception hall had a very nice romantic feel about it with its floor to ceiling windows that overlooked the river.
There was an added bonus to this wedding in which I was able to reconnect with a familiar friend. I was able to get Tony to hire the videographer that shot my wedding and I personally think she’s the best in the business. Her name is Danielle and please check her out Lucky Productions Video.

We’re moving to Cary, NC. New York City is great and all but when it comes to trying to raise a family, I prefer the quite suburban life compared to the the fast pace city life. I grew up in the suburbs of Philadelphia so moving down south to another suburb is nothing for me. My wife on the other hand is kinda scared because all she knows is the city.
So, why Cary, NC? Well, cost of living is so much cheaper down there and my wife hates the winters in the northeast. Granted we will be far away from family and friends but it doesn’t matter how close you live to your friends if you don’t enjoy living there anymore. I have a feeling our soem of our friends might make it down to us in the near future when they realize that 1 million dollars only gets you a house over 100 years old and still no closet space. I’m sorry but if I was to spend 1 million dollars on a home I better get all the closet space in the world.
Anyway, I’m looking forward to our new chapter in our lives down in NC and I hope to capture some beautiful images no matter where I live.

Robin is an up and coming jazz pianist. He’s currently making his name around the London jazz scene. To help promote himself he wanted some new portraits shots. So, he contacted me and this is what we came up with. When you have a chance, please visit his website at hollowayjazz.com.
