August 20th, 2011

If you don’t know, I also run a physical therapy and fitness clinic with my wife. Justin is one of our colleagues and him and his beautiful wife got married in Waynesville, NC. They had their ceremony and reception at the The Waynesville Inn Golf Resort & Spa. It was a small intimate affair.

Nathaniel’s 1st Birthday

May 30th, 2011

Nathaniel celebrated his 1st birthday at the comfort of home with friends and family. Nothing like celebrating your birthday with a home barbecue. Nathaniel also got his first taste of a cupcake which I think he enjoyed. Can’t really tell by his reaction in the pictures though.

Brandon’s 1st Birthday

November 25th, 2009

My son celebrated his 1st birthday. We traveled up to New York for the event and my father threw a huge party for him. What kid has a 1st birthday party with 200 guests. It was a big party and very festive. Brandon had his first slice of cake which he really enjoyed. We had the cake done at Sweet Memories Bakery which is located in Apex, NC.

Wedding Photographic Society

March 30th, 2009

I recently became aware of the Wedding Photographic Society.   Instead of me trying to explain them here’s the excerpt from their website:

We’re a network of professional photographers who come together to collaborate on photographic ideas, thoughts, and information in an attempts to elevate the artistic, technical, and business standards of the wedding photographic community. Membership in the WPS offers many professional & personal growth opportunities via bi-monthly educational meetings, networking, critiques, and general camaraderie during such gatherings. WPS meetings, forums, blog submissions, & web pages are open to any and all professional wedding photographers throughout the world.

The WPS’s origins date back to 2005, when North Carolina photographer Christobal Perez organized quarterly photography meetings in an effort to help build relationships, share knowledge amongst peers, and help create a competitive, yet supportive photographic community. The spirit of Christobal’s movement has grown exponentially since that time and has since evolved into the WPS(which became official in 2009) with the further support of other local photographers, Shane Snider, Robin Lin, Martha Manning, Stacy Borelli, & Brian Mullins. Leaders & members of the WPS donate their time to organize topic discussions with guest speakers, collaborate on ideas and offer guidance, all without compensation.

It’s very exciting to see this open network of photographers come to existence. I am looking forward to sharing ideas with other photographers and especially being able to meet the owners since they are local to Raleigh, NC. I knew there were be some perks of moving down here.

Rebecca & Tony

March 21st, 2009

Tony is one of my oldest friends. I’ve known him since high school and it was a treat to be at his wedding. Now, Tony didn’t want me to be “working” at his wedding so he went out and hired a photographer but that didn’t mean I couldn’t take pictures as a guest.

They had their ceremony at the Holy Trinity Catholic Church which was followed by the reception at Sequoia restaurant. It was a very beautiful ceremony and the reception hall had a very nice romantic feel about it with its floor to ceiling windows that overlooked the river.

There was an added bonus to this wedding in which I was able to reconnect with a familiar friend. I was able to get Tony to hire the videographer that shot my wedding and I personally think she’s the best in the business. Her name is Danielle and please check her out Lucky Productions Video.
